Nobody reads privacy policies. We know that. But this one’s worth two minutes of your time if you care about what happens to your data when you land on this site.

starlightprincess.uk is operated by Starlight Princess Ltd, registered at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. Questions about your data go to [email protected]. UK GDPR is the law we operate under, along with PECR. Both apply to any platform that touches UK users, and this one does.

What we actually collect

When you visit, the site picks up standard usage data automatically. Which pages you looked at, how long you spent, what browser and device you’re on, your IP address. None of that is tied to your name or identity. It goes into analytics, helps us figure out what’s working, and that’s the end of it.

If you register an account, we collect what you provide during signup: name, date of birth, email address, and payment details. Date of birth is collected because age verification is a legal requirement under UK gambling regulations. We don’t use it for anything else. Payment details are processed through our payment providers and we don’t store full card numbers on our own systems.

The contact form works differently. If you fill it in without registering, we get your name and email. We use those to reply to you. We don’t add you to a list, we don’t forward your details anywhere, and we won’t email you again unless you specifically ask us to.

Cookies

First visit, you’ll get a cookie notice. Essential cookies run regardless because the platform needs them to function. Analytics cookies are optional. Decline them and everything works exactly the same. You won’t lose access to the demo or any other part of the site. Want to clear everything after the fact? Browser settings handle that. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies entirely if that’s your preference.

KYC documents

Before processing withdrawals, we’re required by UKGC regulations to verify your identity. That means collecting a copy of your photo ID and proof of address, and in some cases documentation about the source of funds. These documents are stored securely, only our verification team sees them, and retained for the period required by law. We don’t share them with third parties except where required by regulation or law enforcement.

How long we keep things

Account data is retained for the duration of your account and for a period after closure as required by UK anti-money laundering legislation. Contact form data stays for 12 months then gets deleted. Analytics data runs for 26 months, which is standard for Google Analytics. We don’t hold personal data past the point where it’s actually needed.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You can ask us what data we hold on you. You can ask us to correct it if it’s wrong. You can ask us to delete it. You can ask us to stop processing it in certain situations, and in some cases you can ask us to hand it over in a portable format. If you think we’ve mishandled anything, the Information Commissioner’s Office is at ico.org.uk and they handle complaints directly.

Send requests to [email protected]. We won’t charge you for it and we won’t ask you to jump through hoops to prove who you are. If there’s a reason we can’t fulfil something, we’ll tell you what it is.

Why we process what we process

Account and registration data is processed to fulfil our contract with you as a player. KYC data is processed to comply with legal obligations under UKGC regulations and UK AML legislation. Analytics and usage data sits under legitimate interest. Non-essential cookies run on consent, which you give or don’t give when the notice appears. Pull that consent back at any time through your browser or by emailing us.

Updates

This page will show the updated date if anything changes. Big changes that actually affect your rights will get flagged more prominently. Minor wording stuff probably won’t. The date at the bottom is the most recent version.
